The People of Lori Coulter

Lori Coulter  |  President and CEO

Lori developed the TrueMeasure process with the intent of "helping to make life a little bit better for all women." After graduating with a Master of Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Lori worked in marketing and business development for Macroeconomic Advisers, a premier economic consulting and forecasting firm. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she studied marketing. Lori enjoys spending time with her husband, Kelly, and their two-year-old son, Devin, traveling, boating, water-skiing, reading, and shopping, of course!

Terry Thompson  |  Director

One of the first TrueBelievers, Terry has been involved with Lori Coulter from the earliest stages. Terry retired in early 2003 as President of Jack Henry and Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: JKHY), a provider of integrated computer systems and processor of ATM and debit card transactions for banks and credit unions. He joined Jack Henry in 1990 as Chief Financial Officer, guiding the company from $15 million in revenues to more than $396 million, from 98 employees to more than 2,350, and from a market capitalization of $6.5 million to the current value of $1.7 billion. During his tenure, Jack Henry was recognized by the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Money Magazine, Investor's Business Daily, and others as one of the top stocks over the decade of the nineties. Terry brings a wealth of experience in managing growth, strategic planning, financial forecasting and budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, and advising small companies.

Prior to his tenure at Jack Henry, Terry served in diverse financial and accounting positions with the United States Army, Deloitte and Touche and others. In addition to his participation with Lori CoulterTM, Terry serves or has served on the Boards of Directors for Beyond Now Technologies, Inc., Overland Park, Kansas; SiriCOMM, Inc. (OTC:SIRC), Joplin, Missouri; and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Missouri Society of Public Accountants, and received the Southwest Missouri State University Outstanding Alumni Award in 2001.

Megan Christie  |  Creative & Fashion Director

With a keen eye for fashion and design trends, Megan joined Lori Coulter after working in product design and development for a Harley-Davidson licensee, where she managed new product lines, coordinated and merchandised for trade shows and oversaw catalog compilations. Megan received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri-Columbia with a minor in Textile and Apparel Management, and has since furthered her fashion design skills via graduate-level coursework at Lindenwood University. In her spare time, Megan finds joy in serving as a board member for Fashion Group International, traveling, dining, designing, sewing, and reading.

Jeff Melnick  |  Account Executive

After ten years in advertising sales, Jeff was ready for an exciting new opportunity, and he is fortunate to find it working for Lori Coulter in sales for our wholesale resort and casino business.  Prior to joining Lori Coulter, Jeff was our magazine sales representative for four years, where he had first-hand knowledge of our business and cutting-edge designs. He brings extensive experience in business-to-business sales and client relationship management.  Prior to his time in sales, Jeff spent five years in marketing with Maritz Performance Improvement Company.  His background also includes writing and stringing for the Associated Press covering the Cardinals, Rams and Blues, where his highlights include the World Series, NFC Championship, and playoff hockey.  Jeff enjoys traveling, sports and socializing, and between his part-time work for the Associated Press and his full-time status as a “road warrior” he’s found the best of both worlds.  

Shanna Mellnick  |  Operations Manager

Shanna joined Lori Coulter from Linda Segal in Houston, Texas, and is a TrueAsset to our team. She was as a design assistant/production coordinator for Linda Segal for five years, prior to joining Lori Coulter. In addition, Shanna helped launch the “H” line with Tommy Hilfiger and worked for Michael Faircloth, designer of Laura Bush’s inaugural wardrobe. Shanna is originally from Dallas, Texas, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel Design and Technology from Purdue University and an Associate's Degree in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute of Technology. Shanna enjoys spending her free time reading, shopping, watching movies, and spending time with her husband, Vinnie.

Ashley Ray  |  Assistant Technical Designer

Ashley brings the technical and design experience to the Lori Coulter team that she gained while working for Gear for Sports, in Kansas City. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design and Product Development with a minor in Business at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Ashley also had the opportunity to study abroad at the Paris American Academy, where she gained a global perspective of fashion and culture. Ashley loves traveling, reading and going to the theater as well as spending time with her family.

Ellen Goevert  |  Store-in-Store Manager, Lori Coulter at Macy’s Chesterfield

With a TruePassion for style and fashion, Ellen joined the Lori Coulter team after graduating from Fontbonne University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising. After working with various business owners, she has found her calling as a TrueConsultant helping fulfill the Lori Coulter mission of “making life a little better for all women.” In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, reading, shopping and cooking.

Andrea Billadeau  |  TrueConsultant, Lori Coulter at Macy’s Chesterfield

A graduate of Dominican University in Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising and Business Administration and a minor in Communications, Andrea has had a passion for fashion since the age of three. She enjoys assisting women design a swimsuit that gives them confidence and unique style. In her spare time, she loves playing soccer, watching hockey (Go Blues!), following the latest fashion trends and spending time with her friends. She hopes to one day travel the world and buy a pair of shoes in every country visited!

Diana Maxwell  |  Administrative Assistant

A graduate of Webster University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Diana comes to Lori Coulter with an eye for fashion and a flair for style. She brings an international perspective and a world of experience gained through her study abroad semester in Thailand and travels in Europe. As an undergrad, Diana honed her customer service skills in the hospitality industry as server, bartender, and restaurant manager. As a competitive swimmer for most of her youth, she understands the importance of a swimsuit that is perfect for you. She lives for dancing, baseball (go Cardinals!), fine dining, traveling, and most of all, the beach!
